Reigning master of the X-box and junk food junkie, eleven-year-old Austin must facethe long-term consequences of an unhealthy lifestyle when he learns his mother has contracted Type II Diabetes. In partnership with ShapingNJ, this new musical comedy explores the challenges of one family learning how to make healthy choices together. This fun, upbeat musical engages students in the benefits of a healthy diet and exercise by celebrating how positive change can occur through the power of love, hard work and support.

Each spring, luminaries from the New York stage join us as performers and guests at the George Street Playhouse Gala Benefit and Silent Auction. Recent performers and attendees have included Marlo Thomas, Jack Klugman, Keith Carradine, Bernadette Peters, Chita Rivera, Sandy Duncan, Lauren Bacall, Rita Moreno, Tyne Daly, Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara. This black-tie evening also draws corporate, civic and social leaders from throughout the region, as the Thomas H. Kean Arts Advocacy Award is presented to New Jersey’s leading supporters of the arts.
