DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE

The Development Associate is a strong communicator and capable not-for-profit professional with experience in fundraising or marketing. Reporting to the Director of Advancement, the Development Associate is capable of working independently as well as collaboratively as a contributing member of our team. A strong candidate for this position will have excellent administrative skills and CRM experience. This position plays a vital role in advancing our mission while gaining opportunities for professional development and growth within the company.
Salary Range: $42,000 – $47,000
Status: Exempt, Full-Time
Reports to: Director of Advancement
Works closely with: Development Manager, Data Services Manager, Marketing Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Crafts compelling donor communications and solicitation materials
- Manages the execution of the annual fund appeals
- Manages the submission of grant proposals and reports in coordination with a freelance grant writer
- Works closely with members of the artistic, production, marketing and education departments to develop proposal content and keep abreast of anticipated fundable projects and organizational needs.
- Manages the annual calendars/deadlines for appeals, grant proposals, and reports
- Helps maintain CRM records regarding gifts and relationships
- Prepares timely and accurate acknowledgement of gifts and delivery of donor or sponsor benefits
- Provides administrative support to the Director of Advancement
- Supports the planning and executing of special events, including but not limited to: Opening Nights, Donor Cultivation Events, and the Annual Gala/Major Fundraising event
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Advancement and Development Manager.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Strong organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with donor database systems (Tessitura preferred, but not required)
- Ability to work collaboratively and diplomatically with diverse constituencies including donors, staff, artists, board members, and the public
- Passion for the performing arts or not-for-profit work is a plus
Work Hours:
The standard office schedule is Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Evening and weekend hours are required for events, performances, and special activities. Regular attendance is expected at:
- All company “Meet and Greet” events
- Dress rehearsal or one preview performance of each production
- Opening Night activities and major fundraising and cultivation events

PATRON SERVICES ASSOCIATE

The Patron Services Associate role is essential in ensuring a positive experience for our patrons, from ticket purchase through to post-show interactions. The Patron Services Associate will work closely with the Patron Services team and our venue partners to deliver top-notch service and support for all patrons.
Compensation: $16/hour
Status: Part Time
Reports to: Patron Services Manager & Assistant Patron Services Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting patrons in-person, over the phone, and via email. Address inquiries and resolve issues promptly and courteously. Assist with outbound calling. Have a strong knowledge of GSP (such as performance schedule, ADA services, PSO policies, etc.).
- Ticketing: Process ticket sales, exchanges, and refunds using Tessitura, our ticketing system. Ensure accurate data entry and handle transactions with precision.
- Performance Support: Provide on-site support during performances, including will-call ticket distribution and managing any patron concerns or emergencies.
- Database Management: Assist in maintaining and updating patron records in Tessitura.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the GSP and NBPAC teams to ensure seamless operations and an exceptional patron experience.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative duties as assigned, including data entry, filing, phone calls/telemarketing and other tasks to support the Patron Services team.
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service/phone skills
- Ability to resolve issues for patrons in a time-sensitive environment
- Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule (including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and sometimes holidays)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite
- Previous experience with Tessitura or another ticketing system preferred (Salesforce, Spektrix, or the like)
