AUDIO-DESCRIBED PERFORMANCES & SENSORY SEMINARS
In a performance with audio description, attendees have the opportunity to receive a live verbal commentary through a small radio receiver, which describes the visual elements of the performance. This service is particularly beneficial for theater attendees who are blind or have low vision, as it provides a narration of the on-stage events that occur without dialogue, such as fight scenes. Additionally, audio description occasionally extends beyond the play itself, offering supplementary details about the program, as well as descriptions of costumes and stage settings prior to the start of the performance. Discounted tickets are available for patrons using this service.
OPEN-CAPTIONED PERFORMANCES
Open-Captioned performances are scheduled for each of our mainstage productions. A screen is placed on the left side of the stage where the dialogue from the show will be displayed. Discounted tickets are available for patrons using this service.

SERVICE ANIMAL POLICY
Service animals are welcome at both George Street Playhouse and the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center. The animal must be harnessed or leashed at all times, unless such devices hinder the animal’s ability to safely and effectively perform its tasks.
