The Deborah Bye and Thomas H. Kean Education and Audience Experience Fund
Honoring a Legacy of Leadership, Learning, and the Arts
On May 17th, 2025, we proudly announced the creation of The Deborah Bye and Thomas H. Kean Education and Audience Experience Fund at our annual gala. This will serve as a lasting tribute to his late wife and their extraordinary commitment to education, public service, and the arts.
A Legacy of Arts Advocacy
Since 1991, George Street Playhouse has presented the Thomas H. Kean Arts Advocacy Award to individuals and organizations who champion the arts in New Jersey. For over three decades, Governor Kean himself has presented this prestigious honor at our annual gala, embodying the spirit of arts advocacy that bears his name.
Now, we honor Governor Kean's own remarkable legacy by establishing a fund that reflects his core values: that the arts are essential to civic life and should be accessible to everyone, regardless of age, income, or background.
