Youth Classes

It's never too early to start developing skills in theatre and musical theatre! If your child has a passion for the arts, George Street Playhouse offers theater education classes that build community, expands your worldview, and gives everyone an opportunity to experience the transformative power of theater!

The Creative Playground

Fall Enrollment: September 20 - October 25, 2025
Spring Enrollment: January 10 - February 14, 2026

Saturdays 11:30am to 12:30pm (6 classes per Session)

Join our Creative Playground for Kids! Students will have the opportunity to move, groove, create, and imagine as they embark on fun-filled adventures and exciting challenges. Together, we'll explore new stories, play theatre games, and enjoy thrilling adventures, all while making new friends and having a great time.

Youth Musical Theatre

Fall Enrollment: September 20 - December 13, 2025
Saturdays 11:00am to 12:30pm (12 Sessions)

Spring Enrollment: January 10 - March 28, 2026
Saturdays 11:00am to 12:30pm (12 Sessions)

Instructor: Chad Colacurcio

Does your child love to sing, dance, and act? This class is for them! Learn vocal techniques and acting skills while building your stamina with Broadway-style dancing. This class is designed to groom the budding artist with the performance skills it takes to make it on Broadway. Join us and let our experienced instructors prepare your child to shine! This class culminates with a performance for a small invited audience.

In the Fall session, this class will be focused on a performance of FROZEN Jr. which will take place on Saturday, December 13th.

INSTRUCTOR: Caroline Festa

Elevate your acting skills and ignite your passion for performance in our Youth Acting Class! This class is tailored for ages 10-15, our program offers a nurturing and encouraging environment where budding actors can sharpen their skills. Dive into the world of improvisation, character development, and more as you expand your acting repertoire. Whether you're a newcomer or have some experience in the spotlight, this class is the perfect platform to unleash your talent and craft your craft. 

*This class culminates with a final in-class moment of sharing performance for parents.
